Resumes, cover letters, and personal statements

If you are having difficulty getting started, Career Services has some brainstorming tips for you. 

We offer drop-in resume and cover letter critiques Monday through Thursday from 1 to 3 p.m. during the academic semesters, no appointment needed. Visit the Career Services WebEx Room during these hours and someone will help you, or feel free to stop in at Van Hoesen Hall, Room B-5. First-come, first-served. During summer and winter breaks, please schedule an appointment in Handshake or by calling 607-753-4715. [Please bring a printed copy of your document(s) for in-person appointments.]

Resources for interviews

Remember, your resume and cover letter will lead to an interview. Career Services recommends that you attend a workshop on interviewing and schedule mock interviews for practice. Please also review some helpful Tips for Digital Interviews.
