SGA Elections

General Election Information

The election for 2024-25 SGA Officers will be held April 3-5, 2024. A meeting with potential candidates will be held on February 12, 2024, at 6 pm in the SGA Conference Room, 217 Corey Union. All interested and eligible students are encouraged to attend. Candidates must be enrolled full time at SUNY Cortland for the next academic year, must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 (subject to verification by the College), and must not be on academic or student conduct probation.

2023-24 SGA President:
Joseph Mascetta

The president is the chair of the Cabinet and the top representative of the student government to the world and is responsible for generally overseeing the day-to-day operations of the executive branch. 

2023-24 Vice President:
Emily Sommer

The vice president chairs Senate meetings, reviews internal processes and procedures, and oversees the creation, dissolution, and reinstatement of clubs. 

2023-24 Chief Financial Officer:
Mercy Aladegboungbe

The chief financial officer chairs the Finance Committee, and oversees all Student Government finances and expenditures, including expenditures requested by all SGA clubs.
